SEASON INFO

U8 Mini-Ball

U8 Mini Ball runs as a term by term program with games played on Saturday mornings and one training session per week. The focus is on skill development, teamwork and building confidence in a supportive setting. This program is ideal for young players aged seven and under who are learning the fundamentals of basketball while enjoying a positive team environment.

U10–U20 Junior Competition

Our junior competition runs across two seasons per year. Season 1 covers Terms 1 and 2, and Season 2 covers Terms 3 and 4, with a mid season break around Week 8. These competitions provide structured games, regular training and progressive skill development. Players are graded to ensure balanced teams and competitive but fair matchups.

What age can my child start playing?

Children aged seven and under can join U8 Mini Ball. Older players are placed into age appropriate divisions from U10 through to U20.

Do players need previous experience?

No experience is required. Beginners are welcome and our coaches focus on skill development and confidence building at every level.

How are teams selected?

Players attend grading sessions where they are assessed on skill level and game awareness. Teams are formed to ensure balanced competition and appropriate development opportunities.

How much does registration cost?

Fees vary depending on the age group and competition level. Full pricing details are provided during the registration process and payment options may be available.

Where are games and training held?

Training takes place at Runaway Bay Indoor Sports Centre and games are played at Coomera Indoor Basketball Stadium.

Can I use sports vouchers?

Yes. Eligible sports vouchers can be applied during registration. Our team can assist if you need help with the process.

How long does each season run?

Junior competitions run across two school terms per season. U8 Mini Ball operates on a term by term structure.

What happens if my child is new to basketball?

New players are placed into suitable teams following grading. Our coaches provide guidance and support to help them develop skills and confidence throughout the season.
